Cover of Norway Street School Memory Book
In honor of Longmeadow’s students returning to school this week, we thought we’d invite you to take a nostalgic step back in time to the 1950’s when the Norway Street School educated students in Grades in 1-5 in the south end of town. The school opened its doors to students in 1918 as the town’s population was growing at a rapid pace. Today, Wolf Swamp Elementary School is home to students in this part of town and has grown to include preschool and kindergarten. The Norway Street School today is home to the Willie Ross School for the Deaf.
Enjoy this young student’s charming scrapbook containing photos of classmates, teachers, and some witty “poetry.”
Have a great year students!
